On Friday 25 September, the National Investment Institution (NII) will be officially launched in Amsterdam. In this statement, the financial sector expresses its willingness to co-invest, alongside the NII, in the major investment challenges facing the Netherlands and Europe, including the four so-called ‘Wennink domains’. The NII’s aim is to mobilise private capital for future investments and thereby strengthen the Netherlands’ earning capacity.

This is an important development for the Dutch high-tech sector to keep an eye on: co-investment via the NII could make additional capital available for large-scale innovation and growth initiatives.
