Systems Engineering for Human-Computer Collaboration at the Workplace

Advanced AI technologies will soon become an integral part of our daily lives, facilitating intelligent interactions between humans and AI. To understand how to engineer systems that seamlessly interacting with humans in a physical setup, this project will take an experimental approach developing a case study of a new human-robot interaction system capable of perceiving and responding to human actions.

This system receives audiovisual input and performs natural responses in work environments. To thoroughly evaluate the reliability, safety, and adaptability of the system, we use digital twins for large-scale testing, assessing both functionality and robustness over time. These digital twins will not only help identify capabilities and limitations, but also provide a solid understanding of the underlying AI technology, paving the way for application in other use cases.
