Hannover Messe 2027

The Netherlands: from technological leadership to industrial clout

From 5 to 8 April 2027, the Hannover Messe will take place once again: one of the world’s leading industrial trade fairs and the place to showcase the strengths of the Dutch high-tech and manufacturing sectors. However, technology only acquires economic and strategic value when it leads to practical application, upscaling and stronger value chains. To achieve this, cooperation with Germany and Europe is essential.

To forge these connections, we are setting up the joint NL Pavilion this year, in collaboration with FME. Psps business abroad is organising the event. In collaboration with RVO and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, we are putting together the programme for the Dutch participation.

Are you a start-up, scale-up, SME, large enterprise or knowledge institution looking to do business, network and collaborate internationally? Then take part in the NL Pavilion at Hannover Messe 2027. Register before 20 November 2026 to indicate your preferred location.

New market opportunities for the mechanical engineering sector

European industry faces major challenges: labour market shortages, pressure on productivity and the desire to be less dependent on other parts of the world. The trade fair is also responding to these challenges. Industrial AI will be one of the key themes in 2027, and dual-use technology is a recurring theme throughout the trade fair. The Netherlands and Germany complement each other well in this regard. Dutch companies excel in high-tech systems, semiconductors, system integration and flexible manufacturing. Germany brings industrial scale, strong OEMs and a large Mittelstand. This combination makes cooperation valuable, for both countries and for Europe.

The NL Pavilion is open to companies and research organisations from across the high-tech and manufacturing sectors. The pavilion’s programme places particular emphasis on cognitive robotics and dual-use applications.

Why take part?

Hannover Messe provides a platform for presenting innovative solutions directly to decision-makers and industry peers from across the international sector. As such, the trade fair is a source of new partnerships and a gateway to new markets. Over 4,000 exhibitors from the fields of Automation & Smart Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering & Supply, Digital Solutions, Industrial AI and dual-use technology form the core of this year’s fair. As a participant in the NL Pavilion, you will receive:

  • A space in Hall 13, right next to the West Entrance, amongst start-ups, scale-ups, SMEs and large corporations

  • A turnkey stand: the stand construction is fully organised for you

  • Coaching to refine your proposition for the German market

  • Matchmaking and a networking reception with companies from Germany and other EU countries

  • A programme packed with content, featuring panels and presentations

  • Visibility through the mission booklet, a social media toolkit and joint promotion

  • Support at the trade fair from the psps business abroad team

Looking back: Hannover Messe 2026

Last year, the NL Pavilion was themed ‘Innovating together for a smart, secure and sustainable future’. Host Peter Stolk (chairman of Holland High Tech) opened the pavilion alongside Frits Grotenhuis (Digital Holland), Jacqueline Vaessen (ChemistryNL), Director-General Erwin Nijsse (Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy) and Ambassador Hester Somsen. Minister Rianne Letschert (OCW) also paid a visit. During roundtable discussions on semiconductors, the defence industry and cognitive robotics, businesses and government bodies engaged in dialogue, whilst new contacts were forged at the Network with the Netherlands drinks reception. This year, we are building on that success. Will you be joining us?
