The knowledge voucher reimburses up to half the costs of engaging an external expert, up to a maximum of €20,000. The voucher forms part of the temporary ‘Aviation in Transition’ (LiT) grant scheme. The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) administers this scheme on behalf of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management.
Why this voucher?
A strong product idea does not necessarily guarantee commercial success. The voucher helps start-ups take that step, for example by attracting funding or assessing whether their product meets the needs of a specific market. The request for expertise must fall within one of four themes: investor readiness, advice on intellectual property, market validation or coaching for founders. Knowledge institutions, private organisations and independent professionals are eligible to act as experts. The work must involve strategic consultancy; a standard consultancy contract for operational tasks is not eligible.
Who is it for?
The voucher is intended for start-ups whose activities demonstrably contribute to the transition to sustainable aviation.
When should you apply?
The application period opened on 2 April and closes on 1 December 2026 at 5.00 pm. The full terms and conditions and the application portal can be found on the RVO website.
