The meeting focused on a number of strategic themes. Discussions centred on the implementation of the European Chips Act and the further development of the European semiconductor ecosystem. The resilience and economic security of the supply chain were also discussed at length.
In addition, the delegations discussed cooperation in the areas of talent development, skills and international partnerships. Finally, they examined ways of strengthening bilateral cooperation within a broader European and global context.
The consultation highlights the importance of close coordination between Flanders and the Netherlands in order to strengthen Europe’s position in the global semiconductor supply chain.
