Every year, CES brings together tens of thousands of visitors from dozens of countries: companies, investors and other players from the international tech ecosystem. For the participating Dutch companies, the trade fair is an excellent opportunity to find new customers, partners and international growth capital. The State Secretary’s visit also underlines the strong cooperation between the Netherlands and the United States in the field of technology and innovation. 2027 is also a special year: it marks the tenth time the Netherlands has participated in person at CES. In the nine previous editions, hundreds of Dutch companies have already made the leap into international markets with the help of the trade fair.
A wide range of sectors represented
Among the forty participants are companies working on a wide range of societal challenges, such as healthcare, clean energy and digital infrastructure. For example, VNYX is developing AI-powered robots for sorting and selling second-hand clothing, Kalpana Systems is producing ultra-thin protective coatings for more sustainable batteries and solar panels, and InnerTech is using a CT scanner to detect defects in batteries.
“I am proud of the forty companies representing the Netherlands in Las Vegas this year. They are working on technology for tomorrow’s economy and society, such as innovative healthcare, clean energy and digital infrastructure. At CES, these companies can find international partners and take the next step in their growth.”
Willemijn Aerdts, State Secretary for the Digital Economy and Sovereignty
Part of the government’s growth agenda
The government wants more innovative Dutch companies to grow into international tech champions. That is why the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate supports start-ups and scale-ups with funding, expertise and access to international markets. In preparation for CES, the companies are taking part in a training programme, run by RVO, focused on engaging with customers, investors and the media.
