Digital Holland SME Call 2026 opened: up to €4 million for digital innovation

Digital Holland’s SME Call 2026 has officially opened and offers opportunities for SMEs wishing to collaborate with knowledge institutions on innovative digital solutions. With a total budget of approximately €3.5 to €4 million, the scheme stimulates public-private partnerships in the field of digitalization.

SME innovation

The call is aimed at research & development (R&D) projects in which SMEs and research organizations collaborate on new or improved products and services. The focus is on digital innovation within and outside the ICT sector, with an emphasis on societal and economic impact.

Projects must align with the KIA Digitalization 2024–2027 and specifically contribute to one of the priority key technologies: AI/Data or Cybersecurity Technologies.

Key requirements

  • Fits within the mission of the KIA Digitalization 2024–2027

  • Aligns with AI/Data or Cybersecurity Technologies

  • Consortium with at least one SME and one research organization

  • Joint execution and co-financing

  • Focus on industrial research and/or experimental development

  • Lead partner is an SME established in the Netherlands

  • Duration maximum 2 years

  • Max. € 300,000 for SMEs (jointly)

  • Max. € 150,000 for research organizations

A pre-application is mandatory. The deadline for this is 28 May 2026 (15:00).
