Systems are becoming ever more precise, powerful and compact, but at the same time they must become more sustainable, circular and self-sufficient. Off-the-shelf solutions and polluting raw materials are no longer sufficient. Materials Engineering demonstrates how knowledge of materials is the decisive factor in meeting this challenge – and how joining techniques, with adhesives being one of the most demanding forms, are inextricably linked to this.
For who
Materials Engineering is relevant to materials scientists, engineers, R&D specialists and product developers in the SME manufacturing sector. High-tech and manufacturing companies interested in the potential applications of (new) materials, surface treatment techniques, and analysis and joining techniques will also find the network and expertise they need here.
Programme
The conference programme runs from 09:15 to 17:00 and includes, amongst other things:
Market developments and material trends
The transition to Green Steel – Tata Steel
Surface engineering for a sustainable ASML – ASML
Improving the performance and service life of stainless steel parts through S³P Kolsterising® – Bodycote Specialist Technologies S³P
Interactive workshops in collaboration with the Lijm Event, covering topics such as adhesive selection and working safely with hazardous substances in adhesive processes
The day will round off with a networking drinks reception at the exhibition.
