SYNAPSE

Scalable Yield of Neural Architectures in Processing with Semiconductor Engineering

The goal of SYNAPSE is to make a Twente invention, the dopant network processing unit or DNPU (Van der Wiel et al., Nature 2020), ready for large-scale production in the semiconductor industry.

Impact

This project sets the foundation for CMOS-compatible DNPU production together with partners Toyota Motor Europe and OTB Ventures, laying the groundwork for the future launch of the Twente-based spinoff company CirQuiX to advance this innovative technology.
