The mission focuses on strengthening existing collaborations and exploring new business opportunities in a region that is rapidly gaining importance within the global semiconductor industry.
SEMICON Southeast Asia: strategic hub in the chip industry
SEMICON Southeast Asia is one of the most important trade fairs and meeting places for the global semiconductor industry. The event brings together companies, knowledge institutions, and governments and offers access to a rapidly growing market.
The Southeast Asia region plays a crucial role in the global semiconductor value chain, with strong positions in assembly, testing, and advanced manufacturing. For the Netherlands, a global leader in chip manufacturing equipment and innovative technologies, this complementarity offers significant opportunities for collaboration and the strengthening of strategic supply chains.
During the fair, Dutch companies present themselves jointly in the Netherlands Pavilion, thereby showcasing their innovative strength and integrated ecosystem.
Part of national Southeast Asia trade programme
The trade mission to SEMICON Southeast Asia 2026 is part of a national trade programme with Southeast Asia, which aims to structurally strengthen the international position of Dutch companies in the region.
The focus is on countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam, which together form a complementary ecosystem: from production and supply chain to R&D and innovation. This integrated approach creates new opportunities for sustainable cooperation and market access for Dutch deep-tech companies.
Public-private partnership as the driving force
The mission is organized by a strong coalition of public and private parties, including Brabant Development Agency (BOM), Brainport Industries, RVO, and Oost NL, in close cooperation with the Dutch embassies in the region.
With this joint effort, the Netherlands underscores its ambition to remain an international leader in key technologies while simultaneously further developing strategic partnerships in Southeast Asia.
