LUCID

Leveraging Unified Confidentiality and Intelligent De- identification

LUCID aims to develop and validate new technologies and theories for secure data anonymization and confidential information sharing within critical digital infrastructures. The project aims to strengthen the Dutch security sector through the use of artificial intelligence for verifiable and industrial-grade privacy protection.

Intelligent anonymization and confidential data sharing

LUCID focuses on enhancing the security of text, image, and network data by combining advanced AI techniques with privacy engineering. In collaboration with KPN and TU/e, two Engineering Doctorate projects will develop novel methods for automated detection and removal of personal data in complex data streams. These solutions enable secure innovation and data use without compromising confidentiality.

Contributing to a resilient security market

The results of LUCID help organizations use data more securely across telecom, government, and defense domains. By delivering a reliable framework for de-identification and risk assessment, the project strengthens the digital sovereignty and resilience of the Netherlands. LUCID directly supports Holland High Tech’s Security Market strategic program and the KIA Safety agenda.
