Roadmap Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment 2024-2027

Semiconductors (computer chips, microchips, chips, ...) are crucial to the digital world. They make our smartphones, cars, medical devices and many other everyday devices possible. The demand is only increasing. For example, with the launch of 5G Internet, more demand for data storage, more and new functionalities and the connectedness of all kinds of devices. The challenge is also to make chips ever smaller, more powerful and more efficient. This requires innovation of manufacturing equipment and technology of advanced integrated circuits: miniaturization of components, heterogeneous integration of chips and substrates, fabrication and assembly techniques.
