NLR and ROGER are developing a production and testing facility for green hydrogen
NLR and ROGER signed an agreement at the Innovation Expo in Rotterdam to realize a small-scale hydrogen production and testing facility at the NLR location in Marknesse (Flevoland). The partners share the vision that green hydrogen will be a versatile and clean alternative to fossil fuels for mobility and heavy equipment.
The combined production and test facility enables ROGER, NLR and external parties to demonstrate and validate hydrogen technology in realistic conditions and to optimize production processes. Research within such an operational environment is crucial for the accelerated introduction of innovations into the market on a large scale. The facility will help to reduce the costs of green hydrogen and thus accelerate the transition to emission-free energy carriers. The parties aim for this facility to be operational by 2025.
