KIC call for research into minimally invasive interventions in healthcare with the use of key technologies
The new KIC call 'Key technologies for minimally invasive interventions in healthcare', organised by NWO, focuses on the transition from invasive to minimally invasive interventions, on the development of smart medical technology that makes interventions possible with minimally invasive methods and resources and minimal collateral damage for the patient. Examples are new approaches with robotic support, image-guided interventions, sensor- and actuator-driven treatments or new micro-mechanical surgical equipment.
The use of key technologies can help improve minimally invasive treatments and limit collateral damage for the patient. This call for proposals concerns the key technologies:
Robotics
Sensors and Actuators
Image-forming techniques
Integrated photonics
Public-private research should focus on the development of new innovative technologies or the innovative combination of existing technologies so that they can be applied in a clinical environment. The development of supporting (digital) technologies is also possible. At least one of the key technologies mentioned above must be used.
A matchmaking/information will take place on March 17th
The deadline for submitting preproposals is May 16, 2022
The deadline for the submission of full proposals is September 27, 2022
