Final declaration Flemish-Dutch summit: 'Updating the High-tech Cooperation Agenda'
To keep Europe competitive, there must be a strong focus on innovation and technological development. The Netherlands and Flanders form one delta region and face the same challenges. By joining forces, we can strengthen competitiveness, stimulate innovation and technological development and increase strategic autonomy and security. In this respect, what is good for the Netherlands and Flanders is good for Europe.
That is why a cabinet delegation was present at the Flemish-Dutch government summit in Ghent at the beginning of April. Minister Dirk Beljaarts spoke with Flemish Prime Minister Matthias Diependaele about updating the High-tech Cooperation Agenda. In this way, they want to strengthen cooperation in the field of key technologies such as biotech, semiconductors, quantum, photonics and AI. The possibilities for working together in the defense industry and with critical raw materials were also discussed.
