The field of ICT is rapidly developing. There are many open research questions and new opportunities to apply research results to further transform and improve our society. To bring together fundamental ICT research as well as novel and innovative applications of ICT research, the Dutch Research Council (NWO) and the ICT Research Platform for the Netherlands (IPN) are organising the 9th edition of ICT.OPEN. More than 500 scientists from all ICT research disciplines and from ICT industry come together to learn from each other, to share ideas and to expand their network.

The 9th edition of ICT.OPEN2020 will be part of the first Dutch Digital Conference - organised by  NWO and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy. The Dutch Digital Conference connects science, industry, societal organisations and government. During several events, visitors share their knowledge and work together on innovative digital solutions.

ICT.OPEN2020 has an exciting new programme with 2 top-level keynote speakers, 7 different tracks, enough space for over 20 demos and 100 poster presenters, speeddates with companies and with invited speakers, award ceremonies and masterclasses pitch and poster design before the event.

Meet the demo

Academic and non-academic researchers are invited to present their research outcome in an interactive manner through a demo presentation: new or on-going work on systems and applications. Demo presenters are eligible for the demo prize. A jury will judge demos based on the following criteria: innovative aspect, commercial potential and the explanation to non-experts.

'Meet the demo' is co-funded by Holland High Tech within the MIT-schedule (subsidy for SMEs to set up innovative projects  that connect with one or more themes of the Top Sectors).
